Pre-School
Our Pre-School Programme provides a balanced education focusing on physical, mental, moral, emotional and social development. Brighton recognizes that every child deserves the best possible start in life, and educational foundations begin well before Primary school. We focus on whole child development and foundational skills to enhance literacy, numeracy and self-confidence.
Our pre-school curriculum is established on four guiding principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), assuming that:
- Every child is unique, and can be capable, resilient and autonomous learners
- Children learn to be independent through supportive and positive relationships
- Students learn in environments that enable them, where a partnership exists between teachers and parents
- Learning is differentiated, and thus, teaching must focus on strengths and talents
BIS focuses on seven key learning areas:
- Early literacy
- Numeracy
